Public Health Nurses Convene

The 2022 Public Health Nursing Conference was held on December 1 & 2 in Walnut Creek, Ohio.  This was the first in-person nursing conference since 2019 and nurses were pleased to have the opportunity to network with familiar colleagues and new faces.  There were 97 attendees from across the state who enjoyed presentations on trauma-informed care, vaccine hesitancy, mindfulness, health equity, school health and nursing, self-care and resiliency, maintaining professional boundaries, and an update from Dr. Weigand, Medical Director at ODH.  Vendors from academia, insurance and medical supply also provided information.  The planning committee will begin the process of expanding the conference event in 2023 to accommodate for a larger audience and in a different region of the state.  Stay tuned!
