Call for Student Abstracts

The Public Health Combined Conference

Columbus, OH

May 10, 11, 12, 2010

This is an opportunity for students to showcase evaluations, research, projects, and experiences through a poster or oral presentation at the public health combined conference at the Doubletree Hotel in Worthington. Student poster and oral presentations will be presented on Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 2010. Poster presentations will be 12:45-2:00 p.m. and oral presentations will be 2:15-3:30 p.m. The students posters will be combined with the faculty poster session.

Students interested in submitting abstracts for consideration should summarize their presentation. Abstracts should be typed, single spaced, no more than 500 words and should be accompanied by a brief biographical sketch of the presenter(s). The abstract and information listed below should be sent electronically by March 2, 2010.

Oral presentations will consist of 10-minute time slots--7 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions. However, depending on the number of accepted abstracts, these times may change slightly--you will be notified on the exact time limits if your abstract is accepted for oral presentation. Poster presenters will be given a six-foot skirted table to set up posters--you need to bring your own display boards (office supply stores carry the tri-fold boards that stand up on their own).

Students: please supply the following information and send to the following e-mail address. If you have questions, Amy Lee can be reached at 330-325-6164 or afl@neoucom.edu. To be eligible for presentation in this venue, you must have graduated May 2009 or later.

Send your submission electronically to Amy Lee, MD, MPH (OPHA Academic Section Chair) by March 2, 2010 at afl@neoucom.edu.
